Joints and bones and soft tissue around them can be well examined by MRI scan appropriate for the given part of the body. This is possible because during MRI scan of joints tendons, ligaments, inner membrane of the joint capsule, fluid, cartilage and vertebrae can be seen.

The MRI scan can also provide good images of parts where bones do not contain calcium phosphate (parts not containing calcium phosphate: bone marrow, tumors, inflammations).

Joint MRI scan can be made on the following part of the body:

  • Jaw
  • Ankle and leg
  • Hip
  • Hand and wrist
  • Elbow
  • Knee
  • Shoulders

In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
