Knee MRI scan provides detailed images about the condition of the bones and the soft tissue in the knee and helps to detect suspected injuries. It can also provide images of the joint cartilage, the knee joint’s collar cartilage, kneecaps cartilage and the ligaments around the knee.

Knee MRI scan or MRI of the knee joints may be necessary in the following cases:

  • Torn ligaments
  • Torn cartilage
  • Sport injuries
  • Arthritis

In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
