Skull MRI scan is mostly recommended in the following cases:
- Suspicion of stroke
- Suspicion of sclerosis multiplex
- Observation of epilepsy
- Examination of chronic headache, continuous vertigo
- Diagnosis of tumors
MRI of the skull focuses on the following areas:
- Neurocranium (braincasel)
- Facial skeleton
- Inner ear
- Orbits
- Sella – pituitary gland
In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
