Inner ear is responsible for sound detection and balance. The problems and diseases of the inner ear may largely influence the quality of life.

Inner ear MRI scan may be necessary in the following cases:

  • Vertigo
  • Tinnitus (sound or ringing in the ear)
  • Hearing deficiency
  • Rarely headache
  • Otitis (ear infection)

As the inner ear is located at the end of the ear tubes, it is not visible to the naked eye. In order to receive a detailed diagnosis, an inner ear MRI may be recommended, the scan is contrast-enhanced.

In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
