MRI of facial skeleton is recommended to detect abnormalities on face and in sinuses, as it provides pictures of the soft tissue, growth, tumors on the facial skeleton.
Facial skeleton MRI scan may be necessary in the following cases:
- Inflammation in the sinuses
- Deviated septum
- Cancer
- Growth and lumb under the skin
- Growth disorder
- Before plastic surgery
In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
