During MR angiography, for short MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiography), contrast is given intravenously into the vascular tract, staining the blood vessels with it.
This procedure makes possible vasoconstriction or varicose veins visible, so it is often used to examine different arteries (neck, brain, chest, abdomen, kidney, and leg arteries).
MRI angiography may be required in the following cases:
- to assess the degree of cervical stenosis after ultrasound examination,
- for the diagnosis of vasoconstriction, varicose veins.
In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
Online appointment booking is currently not available on our website.
