A thoracic spine MRI helps to create images of various parts of the spine. It produces good images of different abnormalities on and around the spinal cord, of the problems of vertebrae and damages of bone marrow and alignments. It can be used to check the scabs after an operation.
Thoracic spine MRI scan may be necessary in the following cases:
- Neck pain
- Pain radiating to upper limbs
- Headache, vertigo
In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
