Neck MRI or cervical spine MRI helps to identify not only the abnormalities of the cervical part of the spine, but also can be helpful to identify the problems with the intervertebral discs and helps to check the scabs after an operation. It is also helpful to detect abnormalities of the bone marrow and vertebrae.

A neck MRI scan or a cervical spine MRI scan may be necessary in the following cases:

  • Neck pain
  • Pain radiating to upper limbs
  • Headache, vertigo

In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
