In a stress cardiac MRI scan, the examination of the heart at rest is supplemented by a short-term medication load.

Stress cardiac MRI scan may be required in the following cases:

  • suspected coronary artery disease
  • coronary stenosis
  • due to musculoskeletal problems or low load capacity, a bicycle or treadmill exercise ECG should not be performed

In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
