Kidney MRI provides a three-dimensional image that accurately shows, for example, the shape of a possible tumor, congenital lesions, developmental abnormalities (eg, dystopian kidneys, fusion disorders, stenoses). Also, MRI images show stones, cysts, inflammation, and tumors.
Kidney MRI is part of a routine abdominal MRI protocol.
Contrast-enhanced MR angiography can be performed to examine the renal vessels.
Kidney MRI scan may be needed in the following cases:
- suspected kidney disease
- inflammations
- tumors
In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
Online appointment booking is currently not available on our website.
