Cardiac MRI scan can examine the heart cavities, heart valves, myocardium, and pericardium, and visualize and measure heart function.
Cardiac MRI scan may be required in the following cases:
- heart failure or heart valve problem
- myocarditis or pericarditis
- congenital heart disease
- damage caused by a heart attack
- other lesions within the heart
- tumor
In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
