Cardiac MRI scan can examine the heart cavities, heart valves, myocardium, and pericardium, and visualize and measure heart function.

Cardiac MRI scan may be required in the following cases:

  • heart failure or heart valve problem
  • myocarditis or pericarditis
  • congenital heart disease
  • damage caused by a heart attack
  • other lesions within the heart
  • tumor

In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
