MR enterography is a special MRI scan that is suitable for imaging the small intestine.
In the case of abdominal pain, abdominal cramps, persistent diarrhea, contrast-enhanced intestinal examination with the help of MR enterography can provide very good information about the condition of the small intestine, liver and biliary system.
Examination of MR enterography may be required in the following cases:
- abdominal pain or abdominal cramps
- persistent diarrhea
- inflammatory and bleeding intestinal diseases
- intestinal tumors
- Ileus
- suspicion of Crohn’s disease
In addition to plain (native MRI) examination, the contrast-enhanced examination is also available.
